Implementing ATAPS at Your School

In this online course, presented over two days, ATAPS facilitator, Kim Nuske, introduces the Australian Teaching Assistant Professional Standards (ATAPS) framework to school leaders. On completion, participants will be equipped with the knowledge and tools to introduce the framework to their own education support teams, and embed ATAPS in their school’s professional development process. Successful participants will achieve accreditation as an ATAPS Partner School™, and receive an ATAPS Partner School™ digital badge to display on the school website.

Please note: Part 1 and 2 of this course will be presented over two days, starting daily from 11:30 am – 2:30 pm AEST on Monday 24 March, and Tuesday 25 March 2025. Check the start time for your location, to avoid disappointment.

ATAPS Partner School Leadership Course

In this two-part series, designed specifically for school leaders, participants will learn how to introduce the ATAPS framework to education support teams, and how to effectively implement ATAPS in a school setting. The two online workshops are 3 hours each, presented over two days, and will cover all that is needed to implement the teaching assistant standards.

The course also provides participants with the opportunity to attend a 30 minute online meeting with an ATAPS facilitator to demonstrate effective implementation of the ATAPS framework. Successful schools will receive accreditation as an ATAPS Partner School™ and an ATAPS Partner School™ digital badge to display on their website.

Eligibility:

The above package is available to ATA member schools, that hold an ATAPS Partner School Membership.
