TA TALK
Issue 51
January 2020
Welcome to the January edition of TA Talk.
Welcome back to the new school year.
As we begin 2020, we would like to acknowledge the many people affected by the bush fires, and thank the firefighters, volunteers, community organisations and many individuals who are still working tirelessly to save and rebuild communities.
The tragic impact of recent events will be felt keenly in schools, and the ATA team wanted to find a meaningful way to support the students and staff from around Australia who have been affected by bushfires.
In the Australian spirit of generosity, Alexina Baldini, a psychologist who specialises in providing crisis response training and support after critical incidents, is presenting three live webinars on how to support children and young people exposed to trauma, or crises. ATA is charging a nominal amount to attend these webinars, and all profits will go to bushfire disaster relief. Please show your support by registering for these events.
We wish you a safe and productive year ahead.
Warm regards
The ATA Team

A timely reminder that if we want schools to be the best places for students to learn, we must nurture our teachers and teacher aides too!
