Welcome to the December edition of TA Talk.
As the year comes to a close, we would like to acknowledge and congratulate everyone who attended our live events and participated in our professional development this year. We are always in awe of your commitment to making a difference to student learning in schools across Australia. With your dedication, we are sure to be raising Australia's PISA ranking in the future!
We would also like to acknowledge the hard work of our team and guest experts from our partner organisations who have contributed significantly to our mission of improving student outcomes. Our sincere thanks go to:
- Susan Ballandin - Deakin University
- Elessa Impey - Thrive Approach
- Karen Clarke - From Bullied to Brilliant
- Denyse Ritchie - The THRASS Institute
- Sheree Chevalier - VET International Fellowship
As we are an online organisation, we value the expertise of our website team, Aspedia, who ensure you, our ATA members, have uninterrupted access to our resources throughout your membership. Thank you Lynne, Mike, Yurii and team for your superior support again this year.
We will be signing off for 2 weeks shortly, from 23 December 2019 until 3 January 2020. We wish you a happy and safe Christmas holiday and we look forward to seeing you back in 2020 for another amazing year of professional learning and student success.
Warm regards
Stella and Mandy

UPCOMING PARTNER WORKSHOPS
Do your students view writing as fun, or as a chore?
Big Write and VCOP is a fun, oral-based program that assists students to transfer their verbal skills to written skills to improve writing.
ATA partner, Samantha Taylor of Andrell Education, has recently contacted us to offer our member community a discount of $100 off the normal price when attending one of her 2020 Big Write and VCOP workshops.
The first 3 are for our Queensland community, delivered in Brisbane and on the Gold Coast.
There are also limited places for workshops being presented in other parts of Australia. For information about workshops in other states and territories, go to the Andrell Education website.
Be quick though, as Samantha can only hold a limited number of places for ATA members.
