Unpacking the Career Stages and Expectations in the Standards for Paraprofessional Educators
Since 2021, Australian Teacher Aide have collaborated with an Industry Reference Group (IRG) of leading educators, to develop the Australian Standards for Paraprofessional Educators in Schools.
Throughout this journey we have been consulting with all education sectors, and in September last year, we invited you to attend our first live web event on the Standards, and participate in the Have Your Say Survey.
In this webinar, facilitated by Mandy Bell and Stella Liliendal, Directors, and Co-founders of ATA you will learn about the four career stages for paraprofessional educators, and gain insight into the expectations for Professional Knowledge, Professional Practice, and Professional Engagement
You will also hear the following three members of the Industry Reference Group share their perspective on how the expectations will benefit education support staff, teachers and school leaders:
- Rachel Hawkins, SLSO, Monaro High School, NSW
- Leanne Hillman, Educator, Bolster Education NSW
- Anna Kinnane, Project Manager, St Joseph’s Nudgee College QLD
Suitable for paraprofessional educators, teachers, and school leaders.
