Introducing ATAPS - A performance and professional growth framework
In November 2023, Australian Teacher Aide commenced a pilot program with schools around Australia to test the relevance of the Australian Teaching Assistant Professional Standards (ATAPS).
In this webinar, Stella Liliendal, Director and Co-founder of ATA, demonstrates how teaching assistants can use the ATAPS framework to:
• Reflect on their practice
• Identify the skills needed to perform their role
• Set professional growth goals
ATAPS is designed to support the performance and professional growth of teaching assistants, and the workshop activities provide an opportunity to become familiar with the framework. The Standards will be published in Semester II 2024.
